Loved Southampton...But Who Wouldn't?

As promised to Tayter, we went to the outlet mall yesterday in Riverhead, NY, about 20 minutes from Southampton. First stop, Coach Outlet. She spentsome hard-earned babysitting money. Logan's choice, Oakley. Nice place with tons of stores. Tried to restrain ourselves and save some money for NYC. No pics of the mall trip. Sorry...

Headed back to Southampton for dinner and a little beach time.

The Main Street is so neat. It looks like Mayberry USA with a twist. Instead of the Barber Shop and the 5 & Dime there is Saks Fifth Avenue(the pic of the building with the columns is Saks) and J. Crew. And the parking spots are filled with BMWs, Mercedes, Bentleys and Roll Royces. Pretty interesting.

This is Southampton School, public school.

The streets are all lined with bushes that are close to 6 feet tall so that you can't really see any of the houses and most houses have gates. Sometimes you can get a peak through the gates and these are some big houses. Won't be relocating here any time soon.

It was supposed to rain and storm. We were even in a tornado watch. The rain never came but the waves were really washing in and it was dark and overcast. Made listening to the waves even better. The building is a church on the beach.

Found a cute little bakery called Tate's Bake Shop. Too bad they spelled the name wrong. Really great brownies and muffins. We went there this morning on our way out of town and enjoyed some breakfast muffins.

Dogs in Southampton ride in style.

Headed to NYC about 10:30 :-)
